Meanwhile, PAGASA reported that Bagyong Gener was last spotted some 270 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes having a maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. Storm warning signal number 2 was issued in Batanes Group of Islands, Babuyan Group of Islands and Calayan Group of Islands while Signal No. 1 for Apayao and the rest of Cagayan.
